Yorktown Digital Works
The RATES and TERMS for work by Yorktown Digital Works, Inc.
CD Mastering .......... $90. per hour, minimum of 1/2 hour. Then , by
the quarter-hour.
Restoration services ...... $90 per hour, minimum of 1/2 hour. Then, by
the quarter hour.
24 track recording, overdubbing and mixing ....... $70 per hour. Minimum
of one hour, then by the 1/4 hour. Ask about block hours, minimum of
twenty hours sold in blocks.
Legal, forensic, investigation, surveillance audio work of any kind:
$150 per hour, minimum 1/2 hour. Includes transferring from your
recorder (if hand-held), cleanup (restoration, if needed) and CD master
with periodic markers for accessing topics. An affidavit is free with
this work, signed and stating that the content has not been tampered
with except to make the recording clearer and more understandable.
Expert witness services available in courtroom cases.
All supplies, CDs, tapes, etc., are extra.
In cases of out-of-town work, we’ll give you an estimate by email or
telephone and will require a 75% deposit payment to be sent with source
materials. If we go under the deposit amount, we’ll issue a refund at
the end. If we go over, you’ll be required to pay the balance before we
ship finished work to you.
What is “CSD”? At Yorktown this stands for Competent Service Delivered.
We only charge for Competent Service Delivered. If some equipment breaks
down while we are in session, you’re not charged for that time! If we
take lunch or dinner breaks, you’re not charged for that time! There are
a few other occasions in which you’ll not be charged. Simply put, this
means we treat you fairly.,,, always! If a matter falls into a gray
area, it’s open for discussion. We care about you, our customer, our
client. We go the full route to please you.
TERMS: Payment must be made by cash, check or credit card at the end of
each session. There are sometimes exceptions to this. All block-booking
hours must be paid for IN FULL IN ADVANCE. After our first project
together, an account may be opened by filling out an extensive credit
application, to be approved before credit will be extended. In that
case, all work must be paid for within 30 days of invoice date.
SHIPPING: All tapes, discs, etc., shipped to Yorktown Digital Works must
be sent by insured carrier at the shippers expense. We recommend U.S.
Postal Service insured, UPS Insured, or FedEx insured. Do not send
shipments for delivery early the next day, as they usually arrive here
before we do and thus stay in the delivery truck much of the day.
